Alice Springs Airport

Alice Springs Airport is a modern, fully air-conditioned terminal located 15 kilometres to the south of the township of Alice Springs, the main entry point and heart of Central Australia. (about a 15 minute drive).

Alice Springs Airport wants to make sure you start your visit to Central Australia as comfortably as possible. A range of retail facilities, services and amenities are available for visitors to our airport.

Most routes in Alice Springs and its surrounds have traffic indicator signs directing to the Airport. Follow these symbols for the most direct route to the airport.

Pick Up & Drop Off
Public car parking is strictly prohibited at the Terminal kerbside. Visitors can be set down and passengers picked up in front of the Terminal building as long as the vehicle is NOT LEFT UNATTENDED and you are actively loading or unloading your vehicle. Unattended vehicles will be issued with parking infringement notices, as will any vehicles found not abiding by the Traffic Regulations. Alternatively, our Short Term Car Park is FREE for the first ten minutes for pick-up and drop-off.

The airport is not subject to a curfew and operates 24 hours a day.

Taxis are available from the taxi rank which is located directly in front of the Terminal.

Taxi pricing is charged by meter; expect to pay around $30.00 for a trip between Alice Springs Airport and the Alice Springs CBD district.

Airport Shuttle Bus

ALICE SPRINGS AIRPORT SHUTTLE SERVICE
The Alice Springs Airport shuttle bus service is operated by Alice Wanderer and operates for all scheduled flights in to and out of Alice Springs.

The shuttle bus will transfer passengers between the airport and the town centre, picking up and dropping off passengers from local hotels, motels and hostels.

Short Term Car Parking

The Short term car park is located directly in front of the terminal and offers free parking for the first ten minutes; subsequent charges start at $5.00 for one hour. Tickets are allocated upon entry, and payment must be made inside the terminal before returning to your car.

Long Term Car Parking

The Long term car park is located to the eastern side of the Terminal (to the left when approaching the Terminal by road from the roundabout). Collect a ticket from the dispenser at the boom gate and keep this ticket until your return.

At times during peak periods such as Easter or Christmas, the long-term car park may be full. Signs will direct you to an alternate secure parking place.
